The technician arrived on time took his time going through our heating and air conditioning and shared some good and some not so good information but I felt that he was very honest
Performed AC tuneup on 23-year-old carrier. Not cooling the house. Blowing warm air. Not much can be done to repair this unit, the outdoor coil has rotted away affecting its efficiency. The indoor coil has rusted and started to hold congealed water. Air quality is very poor. No repairs can be done to correct efficiency or extend life. Client would like to upgrade system to be comfortable in his home.
Performed AC tuneup on 27-year-old Rheem air conditioner. Unit was extremely dirty and has had several parts replaced over the years. Cleaned out unit. Inspected all of the components, within range. Unit is older and very in efficient. Recommend client look into upgrading system
Performed tune up on 18 year old Carrier. House is not cooling the home. Energy bill is $600 a month. Client has several issues. Water is leaking into ceiling, lack of filter changes caused the unit to get very dirty. And the system is too big for the home. Client wants to change system to something properly designed.
Performed tune up on air conditioner, cleaned filter and outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Heat exchanger has large thermal stress, blower and evaporator coil plugged causing drop in efficiency. Contactor burnt and pitted, compressor amperage high and condenser fan motor at max amperage draw. All lead to a higher chance for failure.
Performed air conditioner tune up on 25 year old Bryant. House is not getting cooler than 78 degrees. Electrical bill is $400+ per month. Client needs several repairs but due to the age and condition of the system client would rather upgrade system to have a more energy efficient system.
Performed tune up on 26 year old Carrier AC. Not cooling the house properly. Warm upstairs. Unit was low on refrigerant. Also found that the evaporator coil was leaking water into the furnace and the electrical compartment. Client is opting to replace the old system rather than invest in a system past its expected life.
Performed tune up on 26 year old Payne air conditioning system, checked filter and cleaned outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Evaporator coil rusty, heat exchanger has thermal stress marks, blower leaking oil which gives it a higher chance of failure. Contactor burnt and pitted at risk of failing, condenser fan motor consuming more power than manufacturer allows recommend replacement
Performed tune up on air conditioner, checked filter and cleaned outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Client stated system didn’t cool as well as previous years and that refrigerant was added two years ago. Found system overcharged causing high power consumption and poor cooling. Removed two pounds R22 and balanced system cooling better and less power consumption but still inefficient
Performed tune up on air conditioner, system not operating upon arrival found thermostat needed resetting. Checked filters and cleaned outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Ductwork original with home from 1972. Evaporator coil dirty, blower leaking oil, blower capacitor is within range. Dual run capacitor below manufacturer specifications and contactor is burnt and pitted. System was over charged with high side pressure of 280 with a subcool of 30 and low side pressure of 85 with a superheat of 0. Removed two pounds of R22 and balanced. Compressor at max amperage draw, condenser fan motor is within range. Checked attic insulation levels needs more, due to age, efficiency and condition recommend upgrading system.
Performed diagnostic on air conditioning, system not operating upon arrival found condenser fan motor seized. Checked dual run capacitor found still operable but below manufacturer specifications and contactor is burnt and pitted. Got fan to start by force by hand. Checked refrigerant levels found leak in liquid line service valve. Compressor amperage high rated for 23 at 100, currently at 19 at 75. Evaporator coil dirty, blower motor leaking oil and pulling high amps. Blower capacitor below spec at 3.4 out of 5 with 6% allowed drop. 28 year old system and due to age, condition, efficiency, and cost of repairs and future repairs recommend upgrading system
Performed tune up on 32 year old air conditioner. Unit is not cooling the home, energy bills are very high, and unit is very loud. Several repairs are needed but will not have an impact on comfort in the home. Client is looking into replacing the system.
Performed tune up on 17 year old Trane AC. Unit is in good shape, cleaned debris from cooling coils. Needed a minor repair but client is happy with how her system operates and with our service.
Providing free second opinion on 1989 Carrier condenser, tested system and confirmed that system has refrigerant leak and is currently out of R22 (Freon). Was able to get the compressor motor to start up but it made a horrible noise and then shut down immediately. Went over replacement options with client and look forward to installing a new condenser and coil to keep clients cool during the hot summer months.
Performed tune up on air conditioner, checked filter and cleaned outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. System runs upon arrival found evaporator coil rusty with small leak in condensate pan. Blower capacitor below spec and blower motor leaking oil. Dual run capacitor below spec and contactor burnt and pitted. Added R22 per tune up special. Compressor amperage high, system is 18 years old and due to age, efficiency and condition don’t recommend repairs recommend upgrading system
Returned to complete repairs to furnace and condenser, replaced blower motor and capacitor, cleaned blower assembly and coil, balanced refrigerant and added a hard start kit to lower compressor motor amperage. System is now effectively cooling the home and client is happy! We are thrilled to bring comfort to another happy client! Thank you for choosing Certified!
Fixed broken condensate drain. Found elbow broken under furnace platform, removed and installed new and tested system. Operating properly at this time
Performed diagnostic found drain line runs into concrete slab and unknown where it comes out. Drain is clogged and backed up into coil. Evaporator coil plugged causing coil to freeze creating more water when thawed than system can handle. System 12 years old and in poor shape recommend installation of new equipment correctly with proper drain system
