Performing AC tune up service on 1999 carrier condenser. Inspected system, tested motor amperages, refrigerant level, inspected evaporator coil, checked static pressure. Made minor repair at this time and made recommendations for further repairs. Client became a Certified Member to ensure his system remains running for the long haul. Thank you for choosing Certified!
Performed diagnostic on air conditioner, system operating upon arrival but making a hissing noise and not cooling. Checked refrigerant levels found high side pressure at 350 with subcool of 50 and low side pressure of 65 with superheat of 5. Cleaned outdoor unit and indoor coil and checked pressures again, high side pressure dropped but still have subcool of 35 and pressures keep jumping up and down due to restriction in evaporator coil. Due to age, efficiency and condition recommend replacement. Need to return to review replacement options
Performed diagnostic on 16 year old Carrier AC’s. Both units had failed capacitors, replaced parts and ran test. Client joined maintenance program to help keep systems running and guarantee 24/7 service should they fail again.

Performed air conditioner tune up on 28 year old Day & Night. Unit is not cooling the home or removing humidity causing home to feel hotter than it should. This lead to high energy use and run time. Client wants to upgrade system to save money combined with their solar.
Performed tune up on air conditioner checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Air conditioner has three capacitors all are out of range, one is rated for 5mfd and is at .6mfd, another is rated for 7.5 and is at 3.8, the third is a 35 and is at 32.1. Contactor is badly burnt and pitted, system low on refrigerant and compressor amperage is very high. Blower is leaking oil and pulling high amps and blower capacitor is out of range rated for 10mfd and is at 1.8.
Performed tune up on 16 year old Carrier condensers. Both systems were low on refrigerant and had some excess wear and tear due to being installed backwards. Client would like to upgrade to high efficient properly installed systems to maximize his solar potential.

Dual run capacitor out of spec, contactor burnt and pitted, compressor uses higher than manufacturer allows power on start up. Outdoor coil starting to deteriorate causing massive decline in efficiency as well as added stress to compressor.
