Performing free second opinion on system that is not cooling properly. Another company diagnosed a refrigerant leak and recommended a leak search and repair + adding 8 lbs of R410-a refrigerant. Full diagnosis revealed that system does not have a leak, refrigerant level on high side is over 470 PSIG which is past the burst point. Diagnosed failed TXV metering device and made recommendations for repair or replacement of the evaporator coil.
Performing precision tune up service on 2000 Carrier condenser, system is running. Cleaned and vacuumed out Trane furnace and inspected evaporator coil and drain lines. Noticed the system has high static pressure and high starting amps. Made minor repair and made recommendations for additional repairs that should be made to prevent system failure. Checked refrigerant levels and ductwork.
Performed free second opinion diagnostic, found dual run capacitor not correct size for system, contactor burnt and pitted, compressor at max amperage draw and shut down while performing test on system. This is due to failed metering device in evaporator coil. Blower motor leaking oil and over amping as well and will fail.
Performed diagnostic on heating and air system, found thermostat blank which is powered by furnace. Found high limit switch tripped due to dirty evaporator coil and dirty blower. Reset limit switch and tested system. In heating the inducer motor is at its max allowed power consumption, and in cooling the system operates but compressor is using a high amount of energy with low load conditions. Same issue will happen again unless system is cleaned. Blower motor is leaking oil and heat exchanger has rust and thermal stress marks caused by the heat not being able to flow through furnace properly
Provided clients with and estimate for duct replacement. Client is happily moving forward with project on June 27 2018
Performed diagnostic on air conditioner found system very low of R22 refrigerant and due to way the pressures change possible issue with refrigerant metering device.
Performed tune up on air conditioner, checked filter, cleaned outdoor unit. Checked capacitors found dual run capacitor failed, replaced with new. Checked contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels, amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Refrigerant metering device not working correctly causing air in home not to cool properly. Blower motor leaking oil blower capacitor is below manufacturer specifications.
Performed tune up on air conditioner, cleaned filter and outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Found blower and evaporator coil dirty and blower capacitor out of range, capacitor should be replaced to prevent future breakdown. Tune up special includes top off of refrigerant added one pound of R22 to balance refrigerant. Recommend blower capacitor, blower cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning and hardstart kit to lower amperage draw on compressor to prolong life expectancy
Performed diagnostic on 30 year old carrier R22 air conditioning system that failed. Found dual run capacitor failed, system flat of all refrigerant and poor airflow throughout house. Client looking into replacement options due to age, efficiency, condition and costs of repairs
Diagnostic on failed 12 year old Trane R410A air conditioning system. Found dual run capacitor failed which caused the compressor and condenser fan motor to not start. replaced with new and checked amperage on compressor which is high on start up which causes high utility costs as well as future breakdowns.
AC diagnostic service on unknown age (30+ yrs old) Rheem condenser, system not able to keep home cool on hot days. Checked refrigerant levels, system is very low on R22 refrigerant. Went over repair versus replacement options with client, explained efficiency differences and financing options. We look forward to working together to bring them comfort in their beautiful home for many years to come. Thank you for choosing Certified!
