Performed tune up on air conditioner, cleaned filter. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Evaporator coil rusty and dirty, blower motor leaking oil and capacitor below spec. Dual run capacitor below spec. Restriction in evaporator coil causing system to not operate correctly. 32 years old.
Performed maintenance visit on a Certified Member’s two air conditioners. Both systems are 15 year old Carrier units in decent shape. Cleaned them up and removed a few bugs from electrical compartment. Topped off refrigerant and discovered that ductwork is slightly restrictive causing a whistling noise while running.
Performed tune up on air 13 year old kenmore air conditioning system. Checked capacitor, contactor, electrical connections, refrigerant levels, and amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Evaporator coil plugged causing reduction in efficiency, blower dirty, which causes stress on motor and both negatively impact air quality. Compressor outside is pulling close to max amps with load load conditions which caused fuse to go bad previously. Capacitor at max allowed drop from manufacturer
Quoting attaching ducts to furnace with new air distribution box to improve airflow, efficiency and comfort in home
Performing precision tune up service on 1995 Carrier condenser - inspected and tested electrical and safety components and made minor repairs to increase the airflow through the system. Highly recommend annual maintenance on both systems at the home. Evaporator coil has leaked water into the coil pan causing major rust and compressor motor is overamping during start up. Recommend addition of compressor saver kit to protect system.
