Performing precision tune up service on 1991 Carrier condenser. Inspected and tested all safety and electrical components, balanced refrigerant, made repairs to keep system running and made recommendation to keep trash cans and other items at least 12” away from condenser to allow system to properly bring in air. If airflow is not allowed in, compressor motor will overheat. System now cooling home properly.

Tune up on 27 year old R22 Carrier air conditioner and furnace, cleaned filters and outdoor unit. Checked capacitors, contactor, electrical connections, and refrigerant levels. Checked amperage draw on compressor, condenser fan motor and blower. Blower capacitor rated for 10mfd is at 5.3 and allows for a 6% drop, blower motor leaking oil and over amping, evaporator coil dirty, heat exchanger has stress marks, compressor outside at max amps. Uses more power than manufacturer allows on hottest days
